Subject: Who to vote for?
McCain/Palin, or, Obama/Biden?
Not many Gospel websites will tell you who you should vote
for. Despite the title, I won't either, except to say you should be
looking for the candidate(s) who most closely follow God's principles. I
haven't heard either Presidential candidate espousing faith in Jesus, but I do
see one who seems to stand more in the way of righteousness. Seeking to do
what is right, not what is popular, is what God will bless. Contrary to what many believe, the election of who we choose to be our country's chief executive for the next 4 years is not about the economy, the war, foreign policy, experience, charisma, or anything except who God wants and will honor. I know this is
not a popular way to vote, but God still honors those who honor Him. HE
will also honor the country that seeks to follow after Him in His ways.
Read over His Word from Psalm 1. See who you prayerfully believe will most
closely follow this description of the candidate who God will bless. Then go and
vote for him.
Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and
night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its
season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives
away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the
judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the
righteous.
For the Lord knows the way of the
righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall
perish.
Psalms 1:1-6 (NKJV)
