Subject: Where is God in all this?

In today's world of terrorist strikes, economic downturns, and other social upheavals, people often wonder, where is God in all this? The answer is found several times in God's Word, He is on His Throne. I am totally convinced about this, God is in control! Remember, “HE works all things together for our good.” (Romans 8:28) How could HE do that,if HE were not in control? As the world around us seemingly crumbles, we ask, "Where is God in all this?" Here are just a few of the thoughts on the subject:

1. Since HE's on the Throne, I know HE's not pacing the floor in worry about how HE's going to get me and His other children through these messes. HE has complete knowledge of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God did not wake up this morning and start wringing His hands, saying, “Oh no! What am I going to do about all this?” HE didn’t go to sleep last night, or any night. Scripture tells us HE never slumbers or sleeps. (Psalm 121:4) HE's not worried, so I don't need to be either.

2. As the King on the Throne, HE is Jehovah Sabaoth (the Lord of Hosts). HE is the supreme commander of all the angelic army. They move at His command. No matter what enemy comes against us, His forces are greater. Our Bible tells us of just one angel slaying 184,500 enemy soldiers in one night (2 Kings 19:35), but, even if HE didn’t use any angels, HE Himself is all-powerful, so I can relax, there's no need to worry. HE is greater than any enemy.

3. As King on the Throne of Heaven, HE rules over the place where the streets are made of gold, the walls of precious jewels, and the riches are just indescribable. So why would I worry about the economy? As I tithe and give, HE has promised to open the windows of Heaven and pour me out such a blessing that I won't be able to receive it all. (Malachi 3:10) I will have all my needs supplied from His riches in glory, and not all the riches of this world are greater than His. (Phillipians 4:19) Wow!

 4. Scripture tells us that night and day make no difference to Him; HE sees the same in light or dark. (Psalm 139:12) My God, from His throne of light, sees through all the darkness of this world and is totally aware of all the tricks and traps our enemies are trying. HE's in control, despite what anyone may say or think.

May your day be filled with the image of our God seated on the Throne of Glory. HE, Who is All-powerful, All-knowing, All-present, All-sufficient, All-seeing, and Always, ever watches over His own.
